The Children's Museum of Cleveland, once in the University Circle area of Cleveland, Ohio, is now located at 3813 Euclid Avenue in the area known as Midtown off of Chester Avenue.

As a leader in imaginative and creative play, The Children’s Museum of Cleveland (CMC) gives children a place and the tools to write their own script and discover their own adventures through interactive exhibits and programs. A child will be naturally drawn to those activities that most excite and engage him or her.

The Museum offers an open-ended learning environment giving children the opportunity to imagine, experiment, problem-solve and communicate â€" building skills for a 21st-century learner. The Museum advocates for self-directed play as one of the best ways for a young child to learn.

The museum is for all children â€" of all abilities, backgrounds, and ages. In its beautiful, historic new home, it serves as a vital community resource and provides experiences that can bridge a child’s learning between the Museum, home, and school.

The entire family is welcome and will feel comfortable in the new CMC. It’s a place for families to play, connect and learn together in an environment designed to excite, enrich and inspire.

The Museum welcomes more than 100,000 visitors annually and has one of the most diverse visitor bases of museums in the region.

After two years of renovation and designing all new exhibits, the Museum opened on November 6, 2017, at its new location.

Exhibits The Museum has 4 permanent exhibits:

·Adventure City: From a market to a two-story climber to construction site, the Museum's largest exhibit space invites children to build, work, climb, and explore this bustling City. This multi-level environment, composed of cozy corners and tall overlooks, encourages pretend play and limitless imagination. The exhibit’s open-ended environment inspires the next generation of designers, problem-solvers, and collaborators.

·Wonder Lab: Enter a world of water and wonder in this industrial science laboratory. Children can explore whirlpools, jets, rivers, and more in two fun-filled water tables as other friends build ball tracks on the magnetic wall, make scarves fly through the air, and create cascades of bubbles. Through the joy of play and experimentation, children become scientists as they use their natural curiosity to observe and explore how things work and why things happen.

·Arts & Parts: In this sun-filled art studio, children work with various materials, tools, and supplies to express their imaginations. Children design, construct, and experiment to create unique objects to take home or add to a communal project. Activities include explosions of color and investigations of art techniques as children unleash their inner artists.

·Making Miniatures: Nestled in a series of colorful rooms at the very top of the museum, children discover a fascinating collection of dollhouses, including a replica of CMC’s new home â€" the Stager Beckwith mansion. Children learn how miniaturists make pint-sized objects, design tiny rooms, and build small houses. As they explore this exhibit, children can search for a hidden logo, and, through hands-on play, create their very own miniature world.

The Children’s Museum of Cleveland is fully ADA accessible.
